From Malpica to Fisterra on foot, through the wildest, most authentic stretch of Galicia: 8 days along the Camiño dos Faros, a trail over 200 km long between cliffs, unspoilt beaches and fishing villages, passing through Ponteceso, Camelle and the percebeiro (goose barnacle) grounds, all the way to legendary Cabo Fisterra —where the Romans believed the known world ended.

Day by day
Day 1 — Malpica, the roar of the Atlantic and the Sisargas
Arrival in A Coruña and transfer to Malpica, the starting point. First stage along the cliffs of Cabo de San Adrián, with the Sisargas Islands as a lookout over the ocean. Night in Malpica.
Day 2 — Ponteceso and Laxe, the land of Eduardo Pondal
Transfer and luggage transport to Ponteceso, birthplace of poet Eduardo Pondal. We walk to Laxe, a fishing town on a calm estuary. Night in Laxe.
Day 3 — From Laxe to Arou, the most genuine Costa da Morte
Walking departure from Laxe: hidden coves and cliffs to Arou, small and white, smelling of goose barnacles. Transport back to Laxe.
Day 4 — Cabo Vilán and the trace of “O Alemán”
From Arou we follow the coast near Camelle, where the memory of Man and his sculpture garden still lives on, to the Cabo Vilán lighthouse. Transport back to Laxe.
Day 5 — Wild trail towards Playa de Lago
From Rego de Trasteiro, an intimate stretch through woods and rock to the Hotel Playa de Lago, near Muxía. Night at Playa de Lago.
Day 6 — Muxía and the Touriñán lighthouse
A demanding stage from Muxía, land of percebeiros and Atlantic legends, to the Touriñán lighthouse, the westernmost point of the Iberian Peninsula. Transport back to Playa de Lago.
Day 7 — Praia do Rostro and the ascent to legendary Cabo Fisterra
The queen stage: from Praia do Rostro we climb to Cabo Fisterra, where the Romans believed the known world ended. Night in Fisterra.
Day 8 — Farewell
Transfer from Fisterra to A Coruña airport. End of the trek.
Eight days along the most authentic stretch of the Camiño dos Faros: lighthouses, cliffs, hidden coves and fishing villages, all the way to the place where the Romans believed the world ended.

Gear needed
- Small daypack (approx. 20–30 L), since luggage is transferred between accommodations
- Comfortable, broken-in trekking shoes or boots
- Layered technical clothing: technical t-shirt, fleece and a waterproof/windproof outer layer
- Trekking poles
- Cap, sunglasses and high-protection sunscreen — the Atlantic sun burns too
- Water (minimum 1.5 L) and energy food for each stage
- Headlamp, in case a stage runs longer than expected
